First month of Google Chrome !
Google Chrome is about to complete its first month after launch and it has shown tremendous growth in this short life span.
Statistics may vary on regional basis but the overall market share of Chrome has crossed Opera,Safari and even Internet Explorer.
We can’t say about other websites but our own statistics clearly depict the overwhelming acceptance of Chrome.
However Google Chrome’s Mac version is still unavailable(will probably become available by the end of this year) but Chrome’s extensive usage hasn’t been restricted by this at all.

The positive side of ‘Dot com bubble’…
The dot com bubble and its consequent burst-out is well known to most of us.We remember it as an event that crashed the US economy to an all time low.
It all started with companies like Netscape,Yahoo! & Excite and ended with dot coms like Pets & Boo.Few of them survived but most of them got their shutters closed after burning millions of dollars with absolute stupidity.
The worst part was the unexpected behaviour of Angels & Venture Capital firms who literally gambled over hundreds of dot coms and invested big bucks with no logical estimation and business plan.
The rule of ‘Get Big Fast‘ was the only motto of that phase and this rule was the prime motivation behind more than 250 dot-com IPOs in just one year(1999).
The outcome was simply tragic.’Bankrupcy’ & ‘Shutdown’ became a commonly used glossary for dot coms and there was even a dedicated website called FuckedCompany by Philip Kaplan which served as a ‘dot-com dead pool‘ at that time.
But still, the dot com bubble was necessary for the prosperous future of internet More »

Seth Godin - The ‘One Man Army’ of Blogosphere

Technorati stats for this year are out…(better elaboration here)
Going by the statistics, top 100 bloggers(or blogging entities) blog 310 posts every month(10+ posts a day). And most of the blogs in Top 100 list on Technorati are Multi-authored blogs to support such a high frequency of blog posts.
Huffingtonpost,Techcrunch,Mashable and many others follow the same rule of muti-authorship to produce huge quantity of posts everyday.
But there is one exceptional blog(which is not even hosted on a dedicated server) that ranks 17 on Technorati but authored by just one blogger.
That blogger also defies the fact of high frequency of posts(10+ posts) as he posts at a frequency of just one post a day.
He is Seth Godin…The ‘One Man Army’ of Blogophere
So,what are the reasons behind his unusual blog performance….?
We have listed few of them…Take a look ! More »

‘Twitter Facelift’ brief-up for ‘Cameo tweeters’

‘Twitter facelift’ is nothing new for those who tweet regularly.
But there are a lot many guys known as”Cameo tweeters” who give a special appearance(by tweeting) on Twitter once in a month or so.
So this brief-up is dedicated to all the ‘Cameo tweeters’ out there to give them a reason for another special appearance at twitter.
Much faster
Heavy ajax usage is probably the best thing that has happened to twitterduring this facelift. The overall system has gone a lot lighter and faster with this implementation.
Tabs on the right
The tabs have been reallocated from top side to right column. This has been done for ease of further addition of access tabs.
Less Cluttered
You hover over an update and you will start seeing Star,Reply or Delete icons. However, there are some other similar less significant changes(rounding corners etc) like this but they all as a package, make the interface look well spaced.
Better customization
One prominent feature added during this facelift is a design customizer, which comes under Settings/Design section. You can choose from few pre-designed themes and can also add your pinch of creativity to it
No more ‘Archives’
One thing that has been removed and will not at all be missed by anybody is “Archives” link.Quite insignificant and rarely used hence kicked off.

“Don’t forget to feed donuts to Chrome” says Google via Orkut !
If you’re one of those who’ve dumped your old browser for Chrome and you’re also a member of Orkut,a social networking service by Google, then you can notice an alert on your profile page saying…

“Awesome, you’re using Google Chrome! Don’t forget to feed it donuts!”
Quote such as “Feeding donuts to Chrome” should have been properly elaborated for the sake of disambiguation but there is no link associated with this message to elaborate the statement..
According to us,this is an indirect way of convincing More »

Website designing for beginners !
Web builder tools has been there for years to make self-designing of websites feasible and easier for nerds. But the outcome of such tools has always been non-professional.
But the new generation website-building services have completely changed the old scenario. With technologies such as Flash & Ajax, the user interface has become very interactive and the outcome is as good as a professionally designed website.
So,here is our compilation where you will get to see four excellent website building services(for non-techies) that have greatly impressed with their features and functionalities…
One of these services called ‘Wix‘ has already been covered by us earlier.
