Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc’s CEO Sundar Pichai has defended the mass layoff that was announced last week. The tech giant had announced on Friday that it is handing out pink slips to 12,000 employees, joining the list of big tech companies that have resorted to mass layoff in the wake of ongoing economic recession. Unconfirmed media reports claim that Google’s layoff numbers may even increase in the coming months. With layoffs now almost becoming endemic across the U.S companies, this is probably one of the worst jo4bs cuts that America’s corporate industry has experienced in recent years.
