PayPal acquires Israeli cryptocurrency startup Curv  

Payment giant PayPal is all set to acquire Curv, an Israeli startup based in the capital city Tel Aviv. Curv is essentially a cryptocurrency security firm, helping companies and investors to store their crytpcurrencies safely. The company runs a cloud-based service that enables you to have unfettered access to your crypto wallets without any hardware device. The development has come barely months after PayPal said that it will back cryptocurrencies for using as payment currencies.

EU gives green signal to Microsoft’s $7.5 Bn Bethesda Mega Acquisition

Microsoft’s mega acquisition of ZeniMax Media – the parent company of Bethesda – has got regulatory approval of the European Commission. Although the regulatory approval was merely a formality, it will give the software giant a much needed edge in the gaming space and surmount a challenge to Play Station. One of the significant things about the approval is that EU has approved the deal without any major conditions. The commission in its report concluded that the proposed acquisition would raise competition concerns.

PUBG Mobile Developer backs Indian gaming startup Nodwin

A report published in Techcrunch claimed that Krafton – the developer of popular gaming title PUBG – has poured $22.4 Mn in esports gaming startup PUBG. Nodwin is the subsidiary of the Mumbai-based gaming giant Nazara, which is all set to roll out its IPO in the coming months. Nodwin, which barely few months back forayed in South Africa, will utilize the funds for ramping up its presence in the international markets.

Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona amid COVID shadow

With COVID threat showing some sign of abating, the annual Mobile World Congress will be held in Barcelona. However, the organizers have said that they will follow all the protocol to ensure thorough protection against COVID. As part of the protocol, every participant will mandatorily have to show a negative COVID and will have to repeat the test after every 72 hours.
