Virgin Hyperloop lays off employees (abandons passenger transport plan)
In unexpected and sad turn of events, Virgin Hyperloop has completely given up on the plan of mass transporting passengers and will now focus only on cargo freight, according to Financial Times. Virgin Hyperloop’s decision to abandon mass passenger transportation plan has coincided with its decision to lay off nearly 111 employees. The laid off employees told Financial Times that they weren’t expecting to be laid off. Facebook Reel is now available globally, with more ads & editing features
Meta is launching the Facebook Reel, ,Meta’s alternative to Tik-Tok, on a global scale. Facebook Reel will be now available to more than 150 countries. Alongside the global roll out, the social media platform is also bringing the new editing and monetization tools for creators. Slack is back online after outage problem
Business communication platform Slack, which is now owned by Salesforce, faced a brief outage on Tuesday, affecting scores of businesses across the board. The outage was widespread as many users took to Twitter to complain that they are facing problems while accessing Slack. Stock of Trump’s SPAC company are sharply going up
The stock price of the Digital World, which plans to acquire Trump’s company that oversees Truth Social app, rose quite dramatically on Tuesday. The stock price of Digital World rose 5.9% to finish the day at $89.31 and rose as high to $99 during the intraday trading.
