In a first, Google Employees form a union

In what will be termed as an unprecedented event, Google and Alphabet employees have formed a union. This is probably the first time that employees of major big tech company have gone ahead and formed a union. According to reports, more than 200 Google and Alphabet workers union have announced the creation of Alphabet Workers Union. This union will be open to both payroll as well as contractual employees.

Twitter acquires social podcasting app Breaker

With an aim build its new audio-based networking project ‘Spaces,’ Twitter has acquired social podcasting app Breaker. The financial details of the deal has not been announced. Breaker’s entire team will join Twitter and the Breaker app will cease to exist from January 15th. This Twitter’s second acquisition in less than a month. The micro-blogging giant had acquired virtual hangout startup ‘Squad’ last month.
