  • The world experienced Twitter’s biggest meltdown moment on Wednesday after Twitter accounts of several prominent users like Barack Obama, Elton Musk, Bill Gates, Joe Biden, Warren Buffet and many others were hacked in an apparent Bitcoin scam. Twitter has already gone into damage control mode and is trying to fix the issue.      

 

  • Google has become 13th investor in Reliance Jio, acquiring 7.7% stake in India’s richest & largest telecom company for INR 33,737 crore or $4.5 Bn. This news was disclosed by Reliance Industries MD Mukesh Ambani at Reliance Industries 43rd AGM on Wednesday. This will be for the first time that Google and Facebook will become co-investors in the same company.

 

  • Industrialist Sanjiv Goenka has acquired 51% stake in AI based news app Editorji for undisclosed amount. Editorji’s founder is famous news anchor Vikram Chandra, who at one point was the face of NDTV news.

 

  • To curb the number of cancel orders, Flipkart has introduced ‘part payment’ option for the customers. Under this new scheme, customers can make partial payment at the time of placing the orders and remaining once the order is delivered.
