Telegram-like broadcast channels coming to Facebook and Messenger
Meta is launching Telegram like broadcast channels on Facebook and Messenger after rolling out on Instagram and WhatsApp earlier this year. The launch is likely to happen in the coming weeks. Broadcast channels allow creators and businesses to send one-way messages to their followers. Followers can then react to the messages with emojis and vote in polls, but they cannot send replies. Through broadcast channels, creators and businesses can also conduct surveys and promote new products and services. The rollout of broadcast channels on Facebook and Messenger may help in keeping the users hooked and increasing their engagement rate. Facebook had launched ‘Stories’ way back in 2017 to increase the engagement rate on its platform.

Netflix increases subscription price in some key markets
Netflix has announced that it is increasing the prices of its subscription plans in certain key markets like the US, UK and France. The premium ad free plan, which allow users to stream on four separate devices at the same time, has been increased by $3 to $22.99 in the United States. The one-stream basic plan, on other hand, has been increased by $2 per month to $11.99. These latest price hikes were announced during Netflix’s third quarter earnings report. While announcing its earnings report, Netflix announced that it added 9 million new subscribers worldwide and clocked a revenue of $8.54 billion.

Amazon to start Drone deliveries in UK and Italy next year
Amazon has announced ambitious plans for its drone delivery service, which is officially known as Amazon Prime Air. The company plans to launch drone service in the UK and Italy next year. Additionally, Amazon plans to roll out its drone service in third city in the US next year. However, the company hasn’t given any hint about this third city. Since several years Amazon Prime Air has been testing drone deliveries in the United States. Amazon Prime Air allow customers to receive their packages within minutes of ordering them. These drones fly only within a 10-mile radius of Amazon warehouses. Amazon’s drone service is still in its early stages of development but has the potential to revolutionize the way we receive the deliveries.

Tesla to start Cybertruck Deliveries from November 30
Tesla has finally set the delivery date for its highly anticipated Cybertruck. The company will start delivering the luxury SUV to customers from November 30th. In the past, Tesla had been forced to delay the shipping of its Cybertruck due to technical and production problems. The Cybertruck will be available in three trim levels: Single Motor, Dual Motor, and Tri Motor. According to reports, pricing of the cybertruck will start at $39,900 for the Single Motor model. The Dual Motor model starts at $49,900, and the Tri Motor model starts at $69,900. Tesla had first unveiled Cybertruck in 2019 and it quickly garnered lot of attention due to its unique design and sharp angles.

OpenAI has announced that ChatGPT’s web browsing feature has finally come out of the beta stage and will be now available to all paid subscribers. This move could prove to be a big milestone for OpenAI’s viral chatbot. This is because ChatGPT’s paid users can now access real-time information from internet rather than depending only on existing trained data that has a cut-off date of September, 2021. In yet another important development, OpenAI has announced that its latest updated AI image generator DALL-E 3 has entered the beta stage. DALL-E 3 is currently also available on Bing for free.
