Nightshade A AI tool that could help artists in fighting the copyright problem

A team of engineers at the University of Chicago has a created a new AI tool called ‘Nightshade.’ Nightshade could possibly stop AI models from blatantly stealing the creative works for training purposes. The tool basically allows artists to insert invisible pixels into their creative works. These very undetectable pixels will then corrupt or distort the artists’ work if any AI model chooses to access and use it for any training purposes. However, the efficiency of Nightshade is still being tested. This AI tool has come at a time when companies like OpenAI are facing barrage of lawsuits over copyright infringement.
