ChatGPT maker OpenAI has just launched new generative text features for GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 models. But the real good news is that the updated GPT-3.5 Turbo and GPT-4 models will be available at much lower pricing. The new updates include features like new function calling capability in the Chat Completions API, improved steerability and extended context. These features will help in host of things including generating code for new application, generating more accurate translations and create more engaging & informative content. Twitter all set to vacate Colorado office over Unpaid Rent

In yet another sign of growing turmoil for Twitter, a U.S. federal judge has ordered the microblogging company to vacate its office in Boulder, Colorado over unpaid rent. The landlord of the office had filed a lawsuit in May 2023, alleging that the company had failed to pay rent for several months. According to reports, the Elon Musk owned company has started defaulting on its rent payments from January 2023 and owns nearly $600,000 in unpaid rent to the landlord. Twitter has not yet commented on the eviction. Twitter has been facing several challenges since Elon Musk took over the company and this latest order will further add to its mounting problems.

EU moves closer to passing one of the World’s first laws Governing AI

The European Union has taken a decisive step in passing what would be the world’s first laws governing artificial intelligence (AI). The EU parliament on Wednesday approved a rough draft of this unprecedented law. This law plans to impose several restrictions on AI including imposing ban on the use of AI for biometric surveillance in public places. It further classifies AI systems into four risk categories: unacceptable, high risk, limited risk and minimal risk. It would also create a new Artificial Intelligence Board to supervise the implementation of the law. The EU law, once passed, is expected to be one of the most comprehensive laws on AI in the world.

EU calls for Breaking up of Google’s Ad Business for abusing Monopoly

The European Commission (EC) has issued a preliminary antitrust ruling that recommends breaking up Google’s ad business. The EC found that Google has abused its dominant position in the online advertising by giving unfair advantage to its own ad exchange ‘AdX.’ If EC’s ruling is upheld then it could have serious ramification for Google. Search ads is a core business for Google and earns nearly 60%-70% revenue from online advertising revenue. This isn’t the first time that Google is likely to face a backlash from the European Commission (EC). Google has denied any wrongdoing and has said that it will appeal the EC’s preliminary ruling.

French President to meet Elon Musk in Paris over Possible Tesla Investment

Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is currently in France, will meet French President Emmanuel Macron on Friday to discuss the possibility of building a manufacturing plant near Paris. According to reports, Macron is hoping to convince Musk to choose France by offering him tax breaks and other incentives. He is also likely to discuss with the tech billionaire the possibility of Tesla collaborating with French companies on battery research and development. Tesla currently has a factory in German capital Berlin but is seriously planning to have another factory in Europe to meet the growing demand for its electric vehicles.
