Reddit Files for an IPO
The social media platform has announced that it has confidentially filed for an IPO with the American SEC. But the company is yet to determine the number of shares and price-range of the IPO. In August this year Reddit had raised $410 Mn funding led by Fidelity at $10 Bn valuation (Click here).

Apple will be doling out work-from-home bonus
Apple has announced that it will be providing work-from-bonus worth $1000 to employees. Employees can use this bonus for buying gears that can help them in shooting their productivity. The tech giant has also indefinitely postponed the return of its employees to the office (Click here).

Instagram to now allow longer videos
If everything goes well then Instagram users may be able to upload longer videos (60 seconds, to be precise) in its stories section. The photo sharing app is reportedly testing this feature in Turkey and would allow this platform to compete better with the likes of TikTok and Snapchat (Click here)

Zoom joins counterterrorism group
Video conferencing giant Zoom has joined the independent tech counterterrorism group. The group is called The Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT) The group was formed in 2017 by some of the biggest giants including the likes of Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft. The main aim of this group is to combat violence and extremism in internet (Click here).

Paris Taxi firm suspends the use of Tesla cars
Paris’ largest taxi firm G7 has indefinitely suspended the use of Tesla Cars for its services. This after a Tesla car was involved in a car crash during the weekend, killing 1 person and injuring almost 20 people. The fatal accident took place presumably after driver loss control over the Tesla car (Click here).
