As we were anticipating it to happen during PDC 09, the timing has been pretty much exact. It’s the second day of PDC and the Office Beta release is out ! Google Docs has been giving a tough competition to Microsoft Office for quite sometime and the recent statements from Google were rather threatening to Office’s revenues. This beta release will push things forward in favor of Microsoft, of course.
The Beta release isn’t largely different from Technical preview but the main differences are Bug fixes and open download option available. Now, there is no invitation required, just about everybody can download the Office 2010 Beta right now.
