JobeeHive is a unique community platform for professionals, which brings career information (reviews, ratings, salaries) on companies and industries along with professional networking.
Apart from basic concerns like hiring process,work culture,senior management etc,it also provides rare salary information that helps professionals understand salaries,benefits and pay hikes in different companies across job grades and locations.
As reviews are written by employees themselves, users can get an insider look at the company’s culture, work, interviews, leadership and business outlook. Because reviews are anonymous, they are honest. On the other hand, features like comments, rating, etc. help users judge how useful is a review.
Jobeehive,co-founded by Vishwas Mudagal and Sandeep Gudibanda has over 800 companies(fast approaching 1000) reviewed so far and are running their startup in bootstrapped mode till now.
There’s a gigantic competitor to Jobeehive called Glassdoor having more than 11000 companies reviewed by its users so far(majorly dominating in US & Europe) and growing at a viral pace.Some of Jobeehive features may look inspired from Glassdoor but there are areas where Jobeehive takes the meat away from Glassdoor.
Jobeehive lets you have communication with employees of your “would be” company by forming a network within Jobeehive(Glassdoor misses this critical issue).The financial details to be fed are comparatively less in case of Jobeehive(making the review process is a bit easier than Glassdoor’s).Jobeehive’s GUI(Graphical User Interface) & strategic use of Ajax is neatly worked out as well.
However indian companies are densely reviewed on Jobeehive,foreign companies are scarce at the moment.And according to us,they should better market their platform as India specific service.This will give indian users a stronger reason to choose Jobeehive over Glassdoor.It’s better for them to monopolise indian sphere at the moment.(An indian is probable to choose Naukri over Monster !)
They will soon be funded by some VC…May establish themselves as a respectable reference for evaluating indian companies….It seems,they are here to make a mark !
