Back in 2014 at IIT Mumbai’s sprawling complex three young entrepreneurs – Abhijit Patil, Pankaj Raut and Abhishek Tomar – were flirting with a crazy idea.  Their idea qualified as crazy and audacious not merely because they were venturing into the unknown territory of augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).

But more so because their idea would eventually land them in a highly competitive space that touts big names like Microsoft and Magic Leap One. The name of their own humble company was christened as Dimension NXG and their product brand as AjnaLens.

After nearly five year’s of their adventurous journey, Dimension NXG’s three cofounders can confidently claim that their leap of faith has given them a great foundation for enduring success in the exciting world of augmented reality.

This foundation apparently got a solid strength after it raised angel funding round in 2016 by group of individual investors including Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma.

Having a high profile name like Vijay Sharma among its many investors was a strong proof in itself that this young startup was treading on the right path and its immense potential for highly sustainable growth.

Today AjnaLens takes immense pride to be the only Indian company manufacturing mixed reality glasses in India.

Many Government organizations like Indian Army, Indian Airforce, Indian Navy, DRDO, Maharashtra Government and other private players like ATOP food, Khimji Ramdas, PM Experts, and multiple XR companies are their customers.

The startup over the years has also earned many awards and recognition at several prestigious competitions and events.
