The viral content marketing platform WittyFeed has secured undisclosed amount in a Pre-Series-A round, which was led by clutch of seasoned and marquee investors. These investors include Anand Chandrasekaran (Former Snapdeal CPO), Apurva Chamaria (VP & Head Corporate Marketing , HCL Technologies), Ritesh Malik (Co-Founder, Innov8), along with group of other high profile investors. With the latest funding, the company’s valuation has reached to approximately $100 million.
The company will be using the funding for strengthening its technological capabilities, increasing distribution channel and enhancing the product portfolio. The startup will also use the funds for expanding its sales team and exploring other domains within viral platform.
Established in 2014 by Vinay Singhal, Shashank Vaishnav and Parveen Singhal, WittyFeed.com made a humble beginning with zero page views. Today that unimpressive number has shot to whopping 25 million page views per month. In fact, the phenomenal success over the years has propelled WittyFeed to become the world’s second largest viral content company. In terms of traffic, WittyFeed.com is the second most visited viral website after Buzzfeed.com.
At the core of this commendable growth are WittyFeed’s high quality viral contents that have successfully managed to keep the visitors engaged and in increasing their numbers further. Buoyed by this huge success, now the company is aiming to enter the highly competitive U.S. Market. But U.S. is also the place which currently generates 30% of traffic for the company.
