Trump signs Executive Order Blocking Transaction with Alipay & seven other Chinese apps
Serving a fresh blow to Chinese tech companies, America’s president Donald Trump has signed executive orders that will prohibit American citizens and companies in conducting transaction with 8 Chinese apps. These Chinese apps include Alipay, CamScanner, QQ Wallet, SHAREit, Tencent QQ, VMate, WECHAT Pay and WPS Office. In all probability, this executive order means that these apps will be banned. Last year, Trump had sought to ban TikTok but a US court prevented the blocking of TikTok.
