Ubers plans to sell its stake in Zomato

Ride-hailing major Uber is reportedly planning to sell its 7.8% stake in Zomato. The stake sale will help Uber in raising nearly Rs 3,300 crores. Both Uber and Zomato have still not issued any official statement on this matter. Uber had acquired a minority stake in the Gurugram based company as part of a swap deal, when it agreed to merge its food delivery arm UberEats with Zomato. Meanwhile, although Zomato recently announced decent quarterly numbers, its stocks continue to trade very low at the Dalal Street. The stock closed on Rs 55 on Tuesday, jumping nearly 9% during the intra-trading session.

Meta is sued for collecting health data of patients

Meta has been sued yet again, this time a class suit has been filed against the Mark Zuckerberg led company and a popular hospital based in San Francisco. The lawsuit accuses Meta and the hospital of unlawfully collecting the sensitive data of patients including their medical history, medicines prescribed, their current medical condition and so forth. The latest lawsuit adds to the slew of lawsuits filed against Meta over the last few years, summing up the tough time that Mark Zuckerberg’s company is currently going through. The company is also going through a period of uncertainty owing to its pivot towards Metaverse.

Taiwan Government’s website gets hacked amid Nancy Pelosi’s Visit

Taiwan’s presidential website temporarily went down apparently because of a cyberattack. It is still not known which criminal syndicate is responsible for this cyber-attack. However, this alleged cyber-attack took place just hours before U.S. congress speaker Nancy Pelosi landed in the self -governing country Taiwan. Since China considers Taiwan as its integral part, Pelosi’s ongoing visit is causing fresh tension between China and the U.S. Pelosi’s is the top most U.S. official to visit Taiwan in 25 years. China, meanwhile, has criticized the U.S. official’s visit, terming the visit as a direct provocation.

Elon Musk’s father says not proud of his billionaire son

Elon Musk may be the world’s richest man but this apparently is still not good enough to make his father feel proud. Talking to an Australian radio show, Musk’s 76-year-old father Errol Musk said that he is actually more proud of Elon’s younger brother ‘Kimbal’ as he is living a very balanced and happy life. He further said that though Musk is the world’s richest man, he is still not a very happy person. Musk, who also has been in the news recently for his troubled personal life, has always shared a difficult and strained relationship with his father.

James Webb Space brings stunning pictures of Cartwheel Galaxy

James Webb Space, which is the most advanced space telescope ever sent to space, continues to bring stunning images of our universe. In the latest images, James Webb has sent back to earth mind-blowing images of the Cartwheel Galaxy, which is located nearly 500 Mn light years away from earth. Although the Hubble Telescope had detected Cartwheel Galaxy many years back, Hubble’s images were nowhere near as stunning and mind-blowing as sent by James Webb.
