  • Amid growing demand for online tutorials, Vedantu has raised $100 Mn in a series D round at a valuation of $600 Mn. The round was spearheaded by US based investors Coatue Management and also witnessed participation from several existing investors. With eye-popping $600 Mn valuation, Vedantu is now the second most valued edtech company after Byju’s.

 

  • Customer intelligence platform and SaaS startup Zeotap has secured $42 Mn in a series C round led by Neue Capital European Investment Bank and Copraion.

 

  • Prabhjeet Singh is Uber’s new India & South Asia President, filling the vacant post after Padeep Parameswaran was elevated to the position of General Manager of Asia Pacific region last month. Singh has been working with ride-hailing giant for five years now and was responsible for helping Uber to consolidate its position in the Indian market.

 

  • Nazara Technologies has finally completed all the formalities and procedures to conclude majority stake acquisition in Gamified edtech venture ‘Kiddopa.’ As part of the final tranche of transaction, Paper Boat Apps issued Nazara technologies shares worth INR 43 crores.

 

  • Inmobi has appointed Jayesh Ullattil as Vice President and General manager of India. Ullattil will be based out of Bengaluru and will report Vasuta Agarwal, who oversees Inmobi’s operations in Asia Pacific region.
