ShareChat will run this special campaign across 15 languages on its platform. Through this campaign, ShareChat’s regular users will have the opportunity to demonstrate and shower their love for their mothers in their own native languages.

Commenting on this campaign, Farid Ahsan, Chief Operating Officer (COO), ShareChat said, “Irrespective of lockdown 3.0 implemented across the country, every mother is selflessly working for their families including the working mothers who are tirelessly managing work-life balance, we feel it’s also important to recognize the efforts made by the Mother Warriors. With all solidarity and affection, we salute all the mother warriors in the country for their utmost dedication and love.

During the course of the 5 day campaign, each day will celebrate a particular theme. These themes are as follows:

Day 1: Special Web cards: To celebrate common qualities between Mother and kids

Day 2: #NolockdownforMAA: Through videos and pictures, users can demonstrate mother’s selfless sacrifices and commitment to tireless work during the lockdown period.

Day3: #MAAkafavorite: Users have the opportunity to share their mother’s favorite phrases.

Day 4: #Noworkday4MAA- ShareChat’s users will be encouraged to take up their mother work and eventually give them much needed rest for the day.

Day 5: #10yearchallengewithMAA – Users will be requested to share their old as well as new photos of them and their mothers.

ShareChat was recently in news for acquiring meme discovery platform Memer for an undisclosed amount. Earlier this year, the company had also hired Manohar Caharan as the new Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Finance.

On the funding front, last year in August the company had raised $100 Mn in a Series D round led by Twitter and Trust Bridge.
