Nvidia launches new AI tool ‘AI Workbench’ for Developers

Nvidia has announced a new AI platform called ‘AI Workbench’ that will allow developers to create test, and customize large language models (LLMs) on a local workstation before scaling them to a data center or public cloud. AI Workbench is powered by Nvidia’s GPU technology, which makes it possible to fine-tune LLMs quickly and efficiently. It also include several features such as a centralized repository for models, dashboard for monitoring performance and a GPU acceleration. This tool can prove to be a major step forward for AI development as it makes easy for developers to experiment with LLMs without spending too much money on cloud resources.

Intel releases fix for ‘downfall bug’ that exposes valuable data

Intel has released a ‘fix’ for a processor vulnerability called ‘Downfall bug,’ that could potentially affect millions of computers running on intel chips and processor. The Downfall bug allow attackers to steal encryption keys, passwords, and other sensitive data from users’ computers. This vulnerability was first discovered by Google researcher Daniel Moghimi. Intel has released the fix in the form of microcode updates to fix Downfall. These updates are available for all Intel processors affected by the vulnerability. Intel has said that Users should install the updates as soon as possible to protect themselves from any possible attack.

The app, called “Netflix Game Controller,” is available for download on the App Store for iOS devices. The app basically allows to use your iPhone and Apple tablets as a controller for games that are available on Netflix. It is compatible with a wide range of games, including Stranger Things: 1984, Too Hot to Handle: The Game, and Asphalt Xtreme. However, the Netflix Game Controller app is currently in beta and hence only limited IOS users can download it. Amazon is reportedly in talks to become an anchor investor in Arm ahead of its IPO. Amazon is a major customer of Arm, and it uses Arm-based chips in its Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing business. Hence becoming an anchor investor in Arm could prove to be more than beneficial for Amazon’s cloud business. The IPO of Arm is expected to be one of the largest in tech history, with a valuation of up to $60 billion. Arm is a British based company and is backed by SoftBank. Over the years, it has emerged as a leading supplier of chip designs for mobile devices, servers, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Coworking and office sharing startup WeWork has warned the US regulator ‘the SEC ‘about possible bankruptcy. The company cited a number of factors for its possible possibly bankruptcy including its history of losses, its high debt load, and its recent withdrawal from its IPO. WeWork is currently in the process of restructuring its business. If the company is unable to turn things around, it could go out of business in the coming months or years. WeWork, which was once valued at around $47 Bn, has seen a dramatic fall in its fortune since its co-founder and CEO Neumann’s forced departure in late 2019 following WeWork’s failed IPO.
