Head of Mobikwik growth, Daman Soni said that the future of digital payments in India will go only by collaboration. It will involve different ecosystem partners to drive acceptance. According to him over 55 million users and 1.4 million merchants are going to benefit from this partnership.

The digital platform for the transaction is growing in the country at a faster pace. This is a result of governments crackdowns on high denomination notes in November.

Moreover,  the government also has pushed for E payment methods like mobile wallets, unified payment services. Samsung Pay, the payments service platform, started its services in the country in March 2017.

Samsung Pay app allows the consumer to pay by using debit and credit cards and wallet store on the mobile devices with just one click. Moreover, Samsung pay is available on Samsung S8, S7, J7 Max, Samsung S7 edge and Samsung J7 Pro among others.

Further, Samsung also provides a Mini version of the platform which is able to integrate UPI and mobile wallets that can work on mid range priced mobile phones. However, these do not support tap and pay using debit and credit card like the parent app.

The Samsung India Director, Sanjay Razdan told the press that the partnership is a move to the next phase in innovative online payment services. Samsung Pay is delighted to have MobiKwik as a partner Indus endeavour.
