Misters.in, India’s first direct-to-customer men’s health and wellness brand has raised $1mn as a part of its series B round of funding led by Sauce.vc, Rainforest Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and angel investors.
Further to the recent series A round of funding of INR 2.54 crore received in August 2019, the total funding received so far is around $1 Million. With an aim to provide offerings to navigate their way to better masculinity, misters.in, will utilise the capital raised to establish its strong footprint in the highly fragmented but massive men’s health and wellness space, with a focus on high quality products, science and sensitivity.
misters.in offers men a way to navigate their way to better masculinity. On misters.in, this happens through an interactive quiz that delves into areas that men are known to be extremely unwilling to seek any help for, such as better sex, better hair, better skin etc. The organization aims to foray into cities across India and hence offers interface both in Hindi and English.
Commenting on the Series B round of funding Mr. Suhas Misra, Co-Founder, misters.in, said, “We are extremely happy about the partnership with Sauce.vc, Rainforest Ventures Pvt. Ltd. and Angel Investors. This story of personalised solutions for men’s problems–taking on the intrinsic stigma in the category–is very interesting. The first few months of Health Factorial have been amazing with a strong team coming together, lots of super-exciting research happening and, most importantly, a nuanced consumer thesis has emerged.”
Mr. Manu Chandra, Founder & Managing Partner, Sauce.Vc, says, “We are extremely thrilled to be associated with Suhas and his highly driven team. Suhas has previously co-founded a very successful brand, Paper Boat which demonstrates a rare and exceptional pedigree. He showcases years of experience in collating data on consumer behaviour across the country relating to this problem. With a very highly specialized and experienced team along with a set of advisors, misters.in is placed well to create relevant proprietary products and market them in an intelligent manner, driven by a strong technology architecture.”
The company’s mission is not only to put together and offer the very best products that science has to offer, through its AI-driven platform but also to get the country to talk about sex! This is, of course, an area shadowed by stigma, and therefore there is a compelling business and intellectual justification for the AI-driven platform that offers personalized therapy to men in the privacy of their mobile phones.
