How to install WhatsApp on an iPad without iphone

If you want whats App on an iPad as it is very useful application then learn here how to install Whats App on an iPad without iPhone.

WhatsApp is an app that has gained popularity worldwide because of its simplicity and ease of use. It is available for iOS and android versions. And since it is quite cheap it is not very difficult to get hold of it unless you want it on your iPad. Yes, it is not possible for you to download WhatsApp directly to your iPad as there is no WhatsApp version for iPad. As usual innovative people have found ways to get around this problem.

One way of getting around this problem is by using a tweak called WhatsPad. WhatsPad in the words of its developer ‘removes the artificial restrictions that WhatsApp has’ namely not allowing it on iPads. Since this particular tweak is not approved by Apple you will need a jailbroken tablet. These are the steps you have to follow.

  1. Download the iPhone configuration utility (Windows or Mac) and install it.
  2. Connect your iPad to your computer.
  3. Get WhatsApp for iPhone on to your computer using iTunes.
  4. Start the iPhone Configuration Utility. Click on the iPad icon that you see on the left side.
  5. A number of tabs will appear but just select the Applications tab.
  6. Select Add and look for the WhatsApp .ipa file that you downloaded in the 3rd step. You will find it in the Mobile Applications folder within iTunes media.
  7. Install it by scrolling down and clicking on Install. You will see WhatsApp icon on the iPad springboard.
  8. Go to your iPad and install the WhatsPad tweak.

You can also get WhatsApp without jail breaking or installing tweaks like WhatsPad. The steps are similar

So basically you do the same thing. But whichever method you use you will not be able to actually start using the WhatsApp app on your iPad without the help of an iPhone. The reason WhatsApp cannot be installed on iPad is because iPad does not have a SIM card. WhatsApp requires the user’s telephone number. They send an initialization code to this phone number which you have to enter when you start up WhatsApp.

Since iPad does not have this facility you have to use the iPhone for this purpose. And you will have to uninstall WhatsApp from the iPhone and re-install it to get the code. Now enter this code on the WhatsApp app on your iPad. Now you can start using WhatsApp on iPad. If you do not possess an iPhone then get it from someone who has it because you cannot use any other phone for this purpose. As the phone number is registered with WhatsApp you cannot use WhatsApp on iPad and iPhone simultaneously.
