Google takes the crown of most influential brand in India

Google has taken the crown of the most influential brand in India. Moreover, Patanjali Ayurveda and Reliance Jio have also made it up to top ten on the list. The research by global firm Ipsos has revealed.

Microsoft comes at a distant second and Facebook at third position respectively.

Surprisingly Patanjali has secured the fourth position in the list. Moreover, the Mukesh Ambani’s company, Reliance Jio has bagged the ninth position. All these findings came to light by the Ipsos in their most influential brand’s study.

Other firms in the list are SBI at 5th, Amazon at 6th, Airtel at 8th, Flipkart at 10th positions respectively. The global research firm has revealed that the new entrants in the market like Patanjali of Baba Ramdev and Reliance Jio have made a big impact on the minds of the millennials. In a changing market scenario, these firms with their extensive and strong efforts have been able to break the market with success.

In the previous edition of the study, these firms were not included in the list. However, in a short span of time, they have made a place for themselves in the top 10 list. Ipsos evaluates top 100 brands across 21 countries. The research firm conducted 36,600 interviews to come to conclusions on this study.

While commenting on the study the Director of Ipsos, Parijat Chakraborty said that the Most Influential Brands are larger than life. Moreover, they improve our lives and make it better. These brands, according to him are able to connect on a emotional level. Hence, they become the most influential.

SBI is the sole financial institution which, made it to the list securing 5th position. Moreover, the home grown e-commerce giant Flipkart slipped to 10th position from the previous 7th position. However, its international competitor Amazon climbed ahead of it to secure 6th position.

Ipsos studied the most influential brands on the basis of highest spending and their impact on the minds of the consumer. Moreover, the brands competed on the basis of their interaction with the consumers.

In the next 10 list, the brands are Snapdeal, Dettol, Apple, Cadbury, Maruti Suzuki and so on.

The rating was on the criteria of quality, experience and value. Moreover, the brand’s ability to deliver on their promises.
