Now merchants can launch online shops on Facebook and Instagram

With small and medium businesses facing the worst brunt due to the pandemic crises, Facebook decided to respond to their ordeals on Tuesday by launching free shopping tools. These free shopping tools allow merchants to easily set up online shops, display products and customize looks on Facebook and Instagram. Facebook was already engaged in e-commerce business on a smaller scale and with these features it is again re-committing itself to the online shopping business.

Walmart’s $3Bn acquisition has gone into drain

Retail giant Walmart has reportedly decided to pull the plug on Jet.com, an online marketplace that it acquired for a whopping $3 Bn in 2016. Jet.com has been showing continuous losses since its acquisition and has reportedly not even shown a faint sign to achieve profitability. Jet.com’s closure marks Walmart’s yet another failure to make a dent in the e-commerce business.

Youtube targets TV advertisers with new program
