Facebook in Talks to Acquire 10% stake in Reliance Jio

Reliance Jio, subsidiary company of India’s most valued private company Reliance Industries, is in talks to part away minority stake to Facebook. Finance Times reports that American social media giant is planning to acquire nearly 10% stake in Reliance Jio, which is the third largest mobile operator in the world.  It boasts almost 370 Mn subscribers in India and is widely hailed for enabling mass adoption of internet across the country.

Apple updates Safari to block third party cookies

Apple on Tuesday released a major update for its web browsing platform Safari, enabling its intelligent tracking prevention to block third party cookies and halting advertisers from tracking user’s web browsing tracking habits. The update puts Apple’s Safari well ahead of Google Chrome in the web privacy race. Earlier in the year, Google had announced that it will start phasing out third party cookies but won’t completely phase out until 2022.

SpaceX to delay upcoming SAOCOM launch due to coronavirus

On Tuesday, SpaceX’s unscathed record of not allowing its operations to get impacted by the ongoing coronavirus crisis got eventually spoiled. SpaceX had launched nearly 60 Starlink satellites just last week, staying almost immune to coronavirus impact. However, today the company said that it will indefinitely delay the launch  of upcoming SAOCOM, which was earlier scheduled for March 30 launch, due to COVID-19 crisis.
