Cloudflare outage knocks off services of many popular websites

Internet security and network transit provider Cloudflare faced a major outage on Tuesday early morning. Due to this outage many of Cloudflare’s high-profile client websites saw their services getting affected. In India, online stock broking apps like Zerodha and Upstox were among the first ones to report problems. Outside India, popular graphic design website Canva and VPN company NordVPN had also reported problems. This global outage lasted for several hours before Cloudflare sought to fix the problem.

Porn Website PornHub’s CEO & COO resign abruptly

MindGeek, the parent company that runs popular pornographic website PornHub, has announced that its CEO & COO have resigned. The abrupt resignation of these two top executives have come at a time when PornHub is once again facing heat over its controversial pornographic content. The company said that it will soon find a replacement following the resignation of these two top executives. Last year, PornHub came under fire for posting porn contents related to ‘child porn’ and ‘revenge porn’ on its website. According to a rough estimate, PornHub gets a shocking 4.5 Bn monthly visitors, which is more than the combined monthly visitors of Google and Facebook.

The metaverse industry, which is still in a very nascent stage, has now its own official forum group that is backed by the biggies like Meta, Microsoft, Nivida and many others. The main aim of this forum is to make the best compliant rules and foster an ecosystem that could accelerate the rapid growth of the Metaverse industry. However, interestingly Apple has so far not become part of this forum. Like Meta and Microsoft, Apple too is aiming to become a dominant Metaverse player by launching its mixed reality headset pretty soon.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala backed Akasa Airways receives first aircraft from Being

Popular stock broker and billionaire Rakesh Jhunjhunwala backed budget airlines Akasa Airways is now probably only months away from starting its operation. This after Akasa Airways received the delivery of its first Boeing aircraft at the Indira Gandhi International airport on Tuesday. The company said that the delivery of 18 other aircrafts will be done by March next year. Akasa Airways operations will also be overseen by the aviation expert Aditya Ghosh, who apparently played a key role in the rise and success of budget airways Indigo Airlines. By the way, India’s aviation sector is going through a pretty interesting time as once bankrupt airline Jet Airways is also making a comeback pretty soon.

Elon Musk Confirms Deadlock Continues over Twitter Deal

Tech billionaire Elon musk has confirmed while speaking at the Qatar Economic Forum that no big progress has been made over the Twitter deal and the deadlock continues over the high-profile deal. Musk said that the $44 Bn deal stuck over the question of ‘fake accounts’ is a very sensitive and significant issue that cannot be overlooked. The Tesla CEO said that the microblogging company needs to come clean on this matter. Although Twitter CEO Parag Agarwal had given a length explanation on the issue of fake accounts, Musk remained unconvinced.
