Multitasking

You can have multiple numbers of applications running in background that will not affect performance of the windows Pc. Multitasking has been always a power-full feature of windows. If you have some applications running then one by one you can swipe from left side to get on to previous app used. You can also use Win-Tab key or Alt-Tab with keyboard.

Windows 8 Lock screen:

Windows 8 has amazing lock screen. You will be prompt to input password to authorize and let you to desktop screen.

Basic navigation

Windows 8 has colorful tiles interface and user friendly touch apps. It is very easy to use in case if you have Tablet and you can also have an option of keyboard. Tap on windows key to get to home screen.

Group of Apps

You will have a bunch of preinstalled applications but may not be in sorted manner but you can sort them easily. You can use ‘+/-‘sign to zoom in and zoom out and you can find these sign at lower right corner of screen

Quick access menu

At lower left corner just right-click for text-based menu you will get ease in access to usable applets & features like: Control Panel, Device Manager, Explorer.

Finding application

The Win+X menu does not give access to applications but still a bit useful. Just press Windows key + Q or slide figure to upward direction in case of touch screen to get list of applications installed on pc.

Windows 8 has IE 10 the latest version till date. But its initial launch has full screen view mode with no toolbar view which will make you feel like lost on screen. You have to click or slide figure upward down to get a view of tool bar to create tabs and more option.

Running multiple apps at same time

There is a lot of “Immersive application” for Windows 8 apps, which simply means that application will run in full screen. But it has amazing feature that you are now able to view both application at the same instance. The application will become a thumbnail if you will move it through sliding figure to right and then current app will take all remaining space of screen.

It considers all devices and maps them into one drive which simply resolves the problem of handling multiple devices. You can access them and format them whenever you want, also it has option of making copies of your files by spreading them multiple drives which makes handling of data safe in case of drive failure which happens rarely.

System recovery

It has another feature of recovery access in case if it shows booting problem, you just have to press Shift+F8 while launch process begins to access the recovery tools of windows 8. Then go to Troubleshoot menu àAdvanced Options, there you will find Automatic Repair tool, which mostly fix the problem. If does not help you then you have a system restore point option. Otherwise you have “Reset your system” option which will reinstall windows 8 after removing all preinstalled file. You can have access to these settings from Control Panel also.
