Apple officially unveils iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (here is what you need to know)  

Apple announced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max at its annual Wanderlust event. Both these phones are most advanced and powerful iPhones till date. It boosts a new titanium design, an Action Button and a powerful A17 Pro Bionic chip. It will be available in four colors: black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium. They will start at $999 and $1,119, respectively. Pre-orders start on September 15, and the phones will be officially launched in the market on September 22. Alongside, Apple also launched a new series for Apple Watch and second generation of Airpods Pro at the Wanderlust event.

TikTok Shop goes official in the U.S.

After months of testing, TikTok on Tuesday officially launched its in-app shopping feature across the United States. With this rollout, TikTok is bringing many new features into its app like dedicated shop tab on the home screen, live video shopping, shoppable ads and affiliate programmers for creators. Some of the brands that are currently selling on TikTok Shop includes Nike, Adidas, Sephora, and Walmart. It is still too early to say how TikTok shop will be received in the U.S. But with 150 million users in the U.S. the Chinese video sharing app has a realistic chance of making a serious dent in America’s social commerce market. Currently, the U.S social commerce market is estimated to be worth $90 Bn.

Intel launches Thunderbolt 5 with up to 120 Gbps bandwidth

Intel on Tuesday launched Thunderbolt 5, successor to the earlier version Thunderbolt 4. It offers up to three times the bandwidth up to 120 Gbps. Apart from this, it also offers key features like providing support for dual 4K displays at 120Hz or a single 8K display at 60Hz. Alongside it provides support for 240W power delivery as well as USB4 V2, DisplayPort 2.1 and PCI Express Gen 4. Thunderbolt 5 is expected to be available in early 2024. It can be used in laptops, desktops, and other devices that require high-speed connectivity. It is fully compatible with previous versions of Thunderbolt and USB.

Amazon announces Supply Chain by Amazon

E-commerce giant Amazon has announced a new program called Supply Chain by Amazon. It is a suite of programs that help businesses of all sizes get their products from factory to customer quickly, reliably, and at lower cost. One of the programs under Supply Chain by Amazon is called Store First. This program allows businesses to restock their physical stores with Amazon’s fulfillment network. This means that businesses can order inventory from Amazon and have it delivered to their stores directly. This can help businesses save time and money on shipping and logistics. Store First is currently available only in the United States and is expected to expand to other countries in the future.
