Chrome, Firefox and Edge have just fixed a big security flaw

Google’s Chrome, Mozilla’s Firefox and Microsoft’s Edge have just released big security updates for their respective web browsers to address a critical security vulnerability in WebP image format. The vulnerability, which has been classified as very severe, allowed attackers to create a malicious WebP image. Once this malicious WebP image is opened in any browser, it then gave a free hand to the hacker to execute an arbitrary code on the victim’s computer system. The vulnerability has been patched in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and Edge. Users are advised to update their browsers as soon as possible to protect themselves from this threat.

Amazon launches AI tools for writing product description

Amazon has launched new set of generative AI tools that are designed to help sellers write product descriptions. These tools are powered by large language models (LLMs), which are trained on massive amounts of text data. These tools are available to all Amazon sellers. To use the tools, sellers simply need to provide a few keywords or sentences describing their product. It will then generate a variety of possible product descriptions. Sellers can then choose the description that they think is the best fit for their product. However, some sellers fear that Amazon’s latest AI feature could end up generating misleading or inaccurate descriptions.  Currently, these tools are available only to sellers in the U.S. market.

Android Auto Now Supports Zoom and WebEx Call

Google on Wednesday released wide-range of updates for Android Auto in the U.S market. One of the benefits of these latest updates is that Android Auto will now allow drivers in the U.S. to join Zoom or WebEx meetings from their car’s dashboard, without having to take their hands off the wheel. To use Zoom or WebEx on Android Auto, users will need to have the latest version of the Android Auto app installed on their phone. Users will also need to have the Zoom or WebEx app installed on their phone. It is important to note that Zoom and WebEx calls on Android Auto are only available in the audio-only mode. This means that you will not be able to see the video of the other participants in the call.

Adobe Premiere Pro is getting an AI feature to remove background noise

Adobe has just announced new AI powered features for its video editing software ‘Premier Pro.’ Thanks to these features, Premier Pro users can automatically remove “um’ and “background noises” from their videos. The “um” removal feature will automatically identify and remove filler words from audio recordings. This can be helpful for making voiceovers sound more polished and professional. The background noise removal feature, on other hand, will automatically identify and remove unwanted noise from the videos. Both of these features are available in the latest version of Premiere Pro. These new features have been powered by Adobe Sensei, the company’s artificial intelligence and machine learning platform.

Alibaba launches AI model Tongyi Qianwen to the Chinese public

Alibaba on Wednesday announced that it is opening its AI model Tongyi Qianwen to the general Chinese public. Until now the access to Alibaba’s model was limited to limited number of developers. Tongyi Qianwen is very much similar to ChatGPT and is trained on a massive dataset of text and code. It can be used for a variety of tasks, including generating text, translating languages, writing different kinds of creative content, and answering questions in an informative way. Tongyi Qianwen is currently available in Chinese language only. However, Alibaba says that it is working on developing English and other language versions of the model.
