Got a Camera Phone ? You might not be able to click “Silently” !

sony-ericsson-camera-phoneIt’s something that everybody does….Taking pics from camera phone without letting anybody know about it(Don’t we).Be it for fun purpose or turning a bit intrusive to somebody else’s privacy, folks get away with a click without getting noticed by just putting their camera phones in ‘Silent’ mode and start pretending as if they are just so busy in their 3.5 inches mobile screen that they have no interest in the guy/girl standing next to their camera lens.

Most of the times, such a thing never really bothers but sometimes,it puts those people into trouble who’re conscious enough about their privacy and take it too seriously. Now,such privacy conscious guys/girls have something to cheer for.

A bill has recently been introduced to U.S. Congress, aimed to stop such privacy intrusions using a camera phone. It’s the “Camera Phone Predator Alert Act“ which,if implemented, would require all camera phones to must make an audible shutter noise while taking a pic.In that case, camera phones would be programmed in such a way that ‘silent’ mode wouldn’t have any affect over shutter sound.

Such laws are already in place in Japan and Korea and therefore the possibility of such an act, getting implemented in U.S. is quite feasible.
