How to View Your Google Chrome Saved Passwords

  1. Click on the wrench icon in the browser which opens the settings menu. It will be present on top right corner of the screen and will open a drop down menu with settings for controlling the Chrome behavior.
  2. Selection options from this menu and it will lead to new tab with various options separated as “Under the Hood”, “Personal Stuff” and “Basic”.
  3. Select the “Personal Stuff” from left side menu and this option will permit you to customize important browser aspects including themes, auto-fill and synchronizing data.
  4. Now search for password options in the page in which radio button indicating whether Chrome offers to save passwords will be present. In this menu you will find a button which indicates “Manage Saved Passwords”.  When you click on this you will be shown a list of passwords which were saved corresponding to a particular website.
  5. In this section, the first column displays the website for which the password is saved while the second column indicates the username and third means a blanked-out password. You can select individual rows and an X mark will be found on the right hand side which is used to delete saved password. You can view the saved password by clicking “Show” button present next to it and it will be helpful when you have forgotten the password for any website.

Another way to launch the password management page directly is by clicking the chrome://settings/passwords in your address bar. You can follow the same steps as mentioned to view the saved passwords using this option.
