The job seeker would virtually have all the jobs on the web at his fingertips. In a matter of few seconds, the desired results are present for a job seeker to explore.

Moreover, it will make the job easy for the candidates. Instead of going to several websites. One search in Google in more than sufficient to land a new job. Google’s idea is to make it easy for a candidate to look up for jobs online. This reduces the time wasted on duplicate job postings as well.

Google AI powered Job search

Now with this launch of Google job search feature in its search bar. The candidate can enter a query like “writing jobs” or something similar to it and all the jobs in this field from across the web is available to him or her. Moreover, the person can also input a phrase like “jobs near me”. This particular phrase will display the jobs near to the candidates’ location.

This new feature provides for further filtering. A new widget shows a whole lot more details and the candidates can choose from broad options available to them. For example “full-time jobs” or “part time positions”. When a candidate clicks on the listing they will see more information with regards to that particular job. The icing on the cake is the instant availability of company ratings from websites such as Glassdoor and Indeed.

As a job seeker, you can also filter with options such as industry, posting date, employer or even job’s exact location. Moreover, you can now select the options and settle for a notification. This enables you to have all the jobs as and when they are online into your email.

This new feature from Google solves the difficulties of millions of job seekers across the planet. Moreover, it is poised to become the perfect platform to match the job to its perfect candidate on a click of a mouse.

The AI machine first clears the duplicate entries from the results before posting. Further, it categorises them for ease of navigation. Once, the job seeker narrows one job listing. Google takes the seeker to the exact website where it is posted. From there the actual process of applying for the job begins. Google won’t handle any application process. This is entirely up to the website hosting the job.

Google’s product manager behind this feature, Zakrajsek, said that Google has no intentions to compete with the likes of Monster.com or any other job website. Its main aim is to provide an enhanced job listing for its candidates. Moreover, he said that it is more helpful to the job posting websites because it creates a better ecosystem.

However, the Monter.com’s CTO Conal Thompson expressed his concerns for the job posted on the basis of SEO. As it will further increase the competition. Yet, he did appreciate the move by Google and said that it aligns with the ethos of his company as well.
